Date night!

It's Friday, which means it is time for my favorite night of the week.

My sweet husband took today off from work to repair our deck (the railing had some massive falling-apart-ness going on). It looks wonderful, and I can't wait to sit out there with him tonight.

We're having a platter of genoa salami and pepper jack cheese (free from Publix with a sweet coupon!), plus crackers and olives, as an appetizer. Then, we'll have Alice Springs chicken (inspired by Outback, of course), big baked potatoes (from a great sale at Kroger), and salad. The special drink of the evening is inspired by spring--just a simple sparkling cranberry lemonade.

Fridays are good days around here. I hope that they are fun at your house, too.
